Successful extractions performed since our doors opened — each one a patient who walked out with more relief than they walked in with dread.

Of our patients say they would refer a family member or close friend — not because we asked them to, but because we gave them a reason.

Has your dentist recommended extraction or oral surgery?

A referral means your dentist saw something that needs a specialist's hands. That's not alarming — it's the system working.

What Happens Next

The fear of the unknown is usually worse than the procedure itself.

Here's exactly what you can expect — before, during, and after.

Sedation Options

Local Anesthesia

The area goes numb. You feel pressure, not pain. You stay awake and aware the entire time.

Best for:Single-tooth extractions, most biopsies, patients who prefer to stay conscious
Note:Takes effect in under 3 minutes. Wears off in 1–3 hours after the procedure.

Nitrous Oxide

Inhaled through a small nosepiece. Produces calm, floating sensation. You remain responsive.

Best for:Mild anxiety, shorter procedures, patients who need to drive home
Note:Cleared from your system in under 5 minutes. No recovery room time needed.

IV Sedation

Administered through a small IV. Most patients have no memory of the procedure.

Best for:Multiple extractions, impacted wisdom teeth, high anxiety, complex cases
Note:Requires a driver. Recovery takes 2–4 hours. The most common choice for wisdom teeth.

Recovery Timeline

First 24 hours

Soft foods only — yogurt, applesauce, smoothies (no straws). Rest with your head elevated. Light bleeding is normal.

Days 2–3

Swelling peaks around day two. Cold packs in 20-minute intervals. Avoid smoking, alcohol, and hard foods.

Days 4–7

Gradual return to normal diet. Gentle rinsing with warm salt water after meals. Most patients return to work by day three.

Week 2+

Tissue heals fully over 3–6 weeks. Follow-up call included in your care plan. Call us anytime if something feels off.
